Postdoctoral Research

Dr. Rex Shanlee is a materials chemist received his Ph.D. from National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan. His research focuses on the rational design and synthesis of advanced functional nanomaterials, including rare-earth oxides, perovskites, transition metal chalcogenides, and carbon-based nanocomposites for environmental and electrochemical sensing applications. He has developed several high-performance hybrid materials by integrating metal oxides with conductive carbon nanostructures to enhance catalytic activity, electron transfer, and surface reactivity. His work has been published in leading international journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Food Chemistry, Microchemical Journal, Environmental Research, and IEEE Sensors Journal. His expertise in advanced material synthesis, heterostructure engineering, and physicochemical characterization provides a strong foundation for expanding into interdisciplinary areas such as photonic materials, emission systems, and nonlinear optical applications.
